Rules
All images must be received no later than  5 PM on 3 September 2010! Images received after this date will not be judged and returned, provided postage is pre-paid in full. All entries will be made available for public viewing for the full time allotted. Removal of prints for any reason will forfeit entry fees, award ribbons and prize monies. Prints will be on display from 4 August, 2010 through 29 October, 2010. Everyone is invited to come and view these.

Who is eligible? All amateur through semi-pro photographers are invited to enter. There are no age limits.

Only photographs which were taken between the Pacific Crest Trail (Cascade Mountains) and the Idaho border in Washington or Oregon will be accepted - hence, Eastern Oregon or Eastern Washington images ONLY. Questionable subject matter, and images created outside of the boundaries, will be disqualified and entry fees forfeited. No nude images or images of questionable character will be accepted and those entry fees forfeited.

Each image containing recognizable people must be accompanied by a signed release form for each person in order for that image to be eligible for this contest. Failure to provide a signed release form for these images will result in discarded/recycled prints and entry fees will be forfeited.

Each print must be no smaller, nor larger, than 8 x10 inches in size. However, to allow for a full frame digital image, only a print size of 7.4 x 11 will be accepted. Each image must be mounted and matted (no frames) no exceptions. Matting cannot be larger than 11 x 14 outside dimensions. Images can be horizontal or vertical format. Each mounted and matted image must have a means of hanging attached to the back of each print, these will not be provided. Images with no means of hanging or not following these rules will be disqualified and entrance fees will be forfeited. Images entered on CD’s, DVD’s, or Memory Sticks (thumb-drives) will be NOT be accepted and will be discarded and entry fees will be forfeited.

Prints may be created digitally or by film, and may be color or black & white and printed on either matte or glossy paper. Creativity is highly encouraged!

Return packaging and full postage (100%) must be provided by those who enter. Failure to do so will result in discarded/recycled prints - they will NOT be returned. NO money from this contest will be used to return prints.

The fee is $10.00 up to four (4) prints – each additional print (after 4) is $5.00. Cash or checks only please. Make checks payable to Robert Davis.

All entrants agree to the decisions of the judges - no exceptions. Robert Davis and his assigns have the right to disqualify entered prints for any reason. Robert Davis and his assigns will not be the judges and are ineligible for entering this contest. Judges will be selected from the local community in The Dalles, Oregon.

Because winning images may be printed in the local newspaper, entrants must agree to this upon entry in this contest.

The news media will be informed of this event. If you think your area's newspaper would do a story on this contest that would be wonderful!

Prints will be available for public viewing immediately after judging. Anyone wishing to see these are encouraged to come to Craig’s Office Supply located at 323 East 2nd, The Dalles, Oregon. Their business hours are 8:30AM to 5:00PM Monday through Saturday.

FYI: This contest judging will take place in The Dalles, Oregon prior to being displayed at Craig’s office Supply. There will be three judges who will make their decisions prior to the first day of public display. The public is invited to view these at Craig’s Office Supply and vote on their favorite one for the People’s Choice Award. The People’s Choice will be chosen five to ten days after the main judging takes place.
